Water-resistant leather watch straps

Some people swim and shower with their water-resistant watches. With a steel bracelet or various rubber and synthetic materials, that is no problem. However, leather straps can quickly become unattractive if exposed to water, depending on how they are made. This can happen when washing your hands or working at the kitchen sink. Occasional water splashes are not dangerous for your leather strap, but they can leave darker marks as the water dries.

The most common material is calf leather, which is durable, comfortable, and affordable. These come in many variations, including embossed finishes that resemble exclusive hides such as crocodile, lizard, or alligator. Genuine alligator and crocodile leather are often associated with fine dress watches, where the polished and elegant surface complements the refined timepiece. Lizard leather is also a stylish choice for formal occasions and dressier attire. 

Ostrich leather and sheep leather are soft and flexible, offering exceptional comfort. These leather types can also be dyed and treated in many different ways to create a distinctive look.
