The main properties of this hair oil include repairing damaged and worn-out hair. It does so by providing ample moisture, restoring your hair's natural shine. The hair oil also offers heat protection, making it especially suitable for use before styling or blow-drying your hair.
The oil is inspired by Macassar oil from the South Indian barber tradition, which was used by gentlemen during the Edwardian era to promote healthy growth of both hair and beard. For over 5,000 years, scalp massage and oil treatment have been part of sacred Ayurvedic rituals.
It has a delightful and spicy scent with notes of Bay Rum, black pepper, and cedarwood. These are balanced with lovely hints of cinnamon, vanilla, and lime.
Dispense a small amount of oil into your hands and distribute it in towel-dried hair. Start from the midsection of the hair strands and work your way out to the tips. The longer your hair, the more oil may be needed. The oil can also be massaged into the scalp to moisturize and provide essential nourishment to your skin.
