The razor in this set uses Gillette's Mach3 system, and all blades in this series fit the razor.
The shaving brush uses what Mühle calls Black Fiber, which is synthetic fiber. Both the shaving brush and razor have handles made of ash wood.
To treat the handles, the wood is exposed to very high temperatures for a short period. This increases the water resistance of the wood, making it very suitable for use as a material for handles on shaving brushes and razors. To maintain the wood's natural look, it is then treated only with oil and not any varnish.
