Hair styling with a brush – our best tips

A styling brush is useful both when pre-styling your hair and during the actual styling process. As a pre-styling tool, the brush needs to withstand both hairspray and heat from a hair dryer. If you use heat, it’s important that the brush is heat-resistant.

The advantage of using a styling brush is that you avoid the overly combed look, even if you use heavier styling products. A brush intended for styling should be easy to rinse off and keep clean. Using a regular hairbrush in this situation can quickly make it feel less fresh.

Apply your chosen styling products directly to the hair with your hands, or spray them straight onto the hair if they come in spray form. Then use the styling brush to shape your hairstyle. Finish with a fixing hairspray.

When you’re done, rinse the brush if needed and allow it to dry before the next use.
