The safety razor comes in MILD and MEDIUM variants, where the difference lies in blade gap and exposure; the MEDIUM version is designed for thicker hair, while the MILD version suits most users.

Technically, the MILD and MEDIUM versions differ in blade gap and exposure:
AL13 MILD has a blade gap of 0.68mm and a blade exposure of 0.033mm.
AL13 MEDIUM has a blade gap of 0.85mm and a blade exposure of 0.058mm.
