Captain Fawcett
In 1905, the legendary Captain Peabody Fawcett disappeared while attempting to cross a large tributary of the Congo River during one of his expeditions. No trace of him was found until 1997, when an old battered trunk was discovered.
Among the rotten and mouldy contents were various balms and journals bearing the well-known phrase “keep a stiff upper lip, regardless,” along with numerous lists of exotic ingredients used by Capt Fawcett Limited. These exact formulas are still used today, together with the world-renowned moustache wax from a bygone century.
