Extra sharp razor blades initially add that extra sharpness. The double edged razor blades are extra thin or has been grinded in a special way. Many super sharp razor blades become milder immediately at the second and third use. Often they may feel a bit rough at the beginning. The best blades are the Japanese brand Feather, treated for maximum sharpness. If you think that the blades become too sharp, you can adjust your razor settings to a milder one or use a shaving head exposes the edge sparingly.
